How to 3D Print the Diamond Painting Project
Instructions for Downloading, Slicing, and Printing Diamond Pieces
-
Download the STL Files:
- For each color listed, click on the "Download STL" link to download the STL file for that color.
- The file will be named according to the number of pieces and color information, e.g.,
2833_parts_2.5mm_color_239_237_234.stl
.
-
Prepare the STL Files in the Slicer:
- Open your preferred 3D slicer software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer).
- Import the downloaded STL files into the slicer.
-
Clone or Multiply the Pieces:
- Each STL file represents a single diamond piece.
- To get the required number of pieces, you will need to clone or multiply the pieces in the slicer.
- For example, if the instruction says
2833 pieces of 2.5mm
, you need to clone the imported piece 2833 times in the slicer.
-
Arrange and Slice:
- Arrange the cloned pieces on the print bed as per your slicer's instructions.
- Ensure that the pieces are well-distributed and not overlapping.
- Slice the model to generate the G-code for your 3D printer.
-
Print the Pieces:
- Transfer the G-code to your 3D printer.
- Start the print job and wait for the pieces to be printed.
- Repeat this process for each color and size as listed.
-
Assembly:
- After printing all the pieces, assemble them according to your diamond painting pattern.
